daily life as a trans woman in a post-gendered world

the direct inscription of objects onto the subject’s identity is a victory for the abolitionists, channeling has been a thing of the past. at least this has made it easier to build bathrooms and clothing stores, designing is now a question of people rather than which people, which may have turned out to be cheaper. it was infrastructural and aesthetic for the most part, though pronouns specifically were quick to give up. language, as a social tool, naturally followed this force, but the so called healing establishments: the categorizers, the pigeonholers, the label creators, the name pickers, the reactionaries of the new world were hard to give up their established papers, but nothing would’ve been able to stop this force. even something like medical establishments aren’t above the fierce force of social change, because even them are affected in a way by social conditions, well everything is. but the distinction between body-and-society has proven its power once again. it would not give up its pre-social illnesses, its pain causing conditions. what a relief it would’ve been to be a bodyless subject. reinscribing meaningless categorizable concepts again and again, causing nothing but its own suffering. what’s the difference between a penis and a vagina anyways? and why does it hate when there’s, say, a penis instead of a vagina? oval-shaped green pills are still being taken, but at least it used to say something about identity, now it feels like a cure to a bodily illness, there isn’t exactly anything you identify with through it, the body is just so stubborn. what does possessing a penis say about a “person” anyways? why does it care so much? transgenders were in this sense fully liberated, being a transgender has been an issue of a gender-body mismatch, though transsexuals on the other hand are still suffering from the mind’s insistence about its body, as it is a mind-body matter. but has it even been a matter of possessing a body? what if we could upload our human consciousness to some sort of machines? would consciousness cause some sort of prosthetic phantom pain?? perhaps it will expect a different chassis, or a port instead of a cable somewhere?

the supposed liberation of transsexuals: the age of abolition, has only shifted the narrative from being identity based to biology based, an illness. Exactly what a transsexual used to be accused of having. Abolition means nothing if biology still possesses so much agency.

claiming having played with barbies as a child doesn’t mean anything anymore, you might as well say you simulated war with toy soldiers. it is said that this used to be the basis for your identity. but hey, skirts can be worn in male bodies now without getting stares!
